'Hardest Masters' takes toll on Woods

Changes keep drama alive in tournament's final round
Legend has it the Masters Tournament doesn't begin until the leaders reach the final nine Sunday.

Two holes cost Appleby his lead
Stuart Appleby joined the growing list of Australian golfers who got a sniff of winning a Masters Tournament, but will return Down Under green jacketless.
Lackluster week provides lessons
Right up to its fairly humdrum finish Sunday, the 71st Masters Tournament was about what didn't happen, the lasting memory sure to be the abject lack of memories.

Opening hole set tone for players
Time and again, players walked off the opening hole at Augusta National Golf Club this week looking to make up ground.

Hefty Lefty had a great fall. All of the golf teachers and all of the sports psychologists couldn't put Hefty Lefty together again.
Shot of the Day
CHIPPING ON NO. 18: With a one-shot lead, Johnson pushed his 6-iron approach. The ball came up just short of going into the bunker on the right side of the final green, and he faced a delicate chip. He pulled off the shot perfectly, hitting it to within inches of the hole for an easy par and his first major win.

High-scoring winners
Zach Johnson's winning total of 1-over-par 289 matches the highest winning score in Masters history:
Who's hot, who's not
